2009 EMPIRE CLASSIC one loft race Hosted by Judy and Jim McInnes......Empire
Farm ______________________________________________________________________ We are located on the North Shore of Lake Ontario, 1 ½ hours east of Toronto and 1 hour west of Kingston. The area was originally settled by Empire Loyalists and is prime farmland although the urban expansion of Toronto is creeping closer each year. Our residence is a Victorian brick farm house built in 1846. Registered Polled Hereford beef cattle and Judy’s pet “Dallas”, a registered quarter horse, can be seen grazing on our pastures. Our wood lot boasts majestic oak, maple, white pine, ash and cedar. A truly spectacular setting for the lofts, our racing and breeding lofts and our Empire Classic loft. As well as an ideal setting for your Classic birds, we offer a high degree of experience, skill and success in the management of racing pigeons. Our credentials and successes as racing fanciers and organizers of special events are well known across Canada and beyond. We traditionally have very few losses with our own racing team when others are experiencing heavy losses, a huge benefit for anyone entering our Empire Classic One Loft race. We hope to make our EMPIRE CLASSIC WEEKEND a special occasion, not only for the winners but also for everyone attending. It will be a golden opportunity to meet old friends, develop new friendships, watch some birds race home and enjoy our complimentary meal and refreshments. We are proud of our track record in managing the Empire Classic. In 2006 70% of the total number of entries were shipped to the Empire Classic 350 and 75% were clocked on the day. In 2007 a whopping 82% of the total number of entries were shipped to the Empire Classic 350 but only 4% were clocked on the day. In 2008 66% of the total entries were shipped to the Empire Classic 350 and 30% were clocked on the day. Compare these numbers to any other large One Loft Race. Also compare our prize payouts compared to our entry costs to any other large One Loft Race. You will not find a better "bang for your buck". We do not take a percentage of pools or prize money. All bird and loft pooling information is posted at the loft prior to the arrival of birds. The detailed prize payouts are posted prior to the arrival of the birds. You can calculate your prize and pooling winnings without waiting to see what we send you. All training tosses after 25 miles are posted on our web site. The results of the four Official Training Races, Empire Classic 350, Empire Classic 420, Training Races Champion bird, Empire Classic Ace pigeon and all pooling and prize distribution info is posted on the web site. We have video cameras inside the loft and outside the loft for your viewing pleasure, you can view your birds, on our web site, from the moment they arrive in April or May until they come home from the Empire Classic 350 and Empire Marathon 420. We also keep you informed with our Empire Classic "DIARY". Regular updates, news and Classic information is posted on the "DIARY" throughout the year. Check out our "DIARY" from time to time, starting now. We would like to give our American friends the opportunity to participate in the largest One Loft Race in Canada and perhaps the largest in America and to compete against the top Canadian fanciers. To this end we have made it very easy for Americans to send their birds to the Empire Classic. Simply mail your birds via US POST to our AMERICAN CONTACT, Dale Zehr, in New York (see info below). We will get the vet health permits (no quarantine required) and we will deliver your birds to the Empire Classic Loft. Best of all WE WILL PAY ALL EXPENSES, you just have to get your birds to our AMERICAN CONTACT. Give us a try, your birds will love our climate and race course. Our climate and temperatures are very similar to many parts of the USA. Spring time (when the birds arrive) temperatures are in the 60's or low 70's. During the summer temperatures are in the 80's or at least high 70's. PLEASE NOTE: We are a legal, registered business called "EMPIRE CLASSIC".
