Final Comments

The 1ST Annual Empire Classic is now in the books! The overwhelming views of the participants is that it was a tremendous success in respect to participation, organization, management of the birds, hospitality, and finally

the outstanding performance of the birds on the big race day, 14 birds on the 1st drop, a total of 279 birds clocked on the day out of 371 birds shipped. It was an interesting race course for the birds, the first 270 kms were clear, sunny and no wind, with 284 kms from home the birds hit overcast skies and scattered rain showers for approximately 150 kms but they also had the benefit of a light tail wind and at the home end a side wind.
